A day of Hope

A day of Hope

In the last few months i took part of a workshop about SENSING HOPE. I made a serie of jewelry pieces around the concept of Hope and the 5 senses.

For this project i took a day of my life that brought me a lot of knowledge but also some hope for the future. The day i found out i had been stuggling with ADD ( an ADHD variation).

These pieces are representing what I smelled, felt, heard, tasted and saw on that day.

Taste of comfort:

The tast of a new medication that helps me concentrate in times I need it.

Welcoming smell:

The familiar smell of coffee was very welcoming and relaxed. It gave me a good, save and hopefully feeling.

Seeing my messy head:

Seeing the ADD result sheet, there was a diagram that showed me the angular movements I make when I try to concentrate.

Feels like home:

The feeling of coming into a save nest. The salt shaped like a familiar button what let me feel good and hopeful because I knew that after this test I was going to see what was going on in my head. I added fingerprints in this piece to emphasize touch

Sound of control:

In the department there was almost no noise. Only my own messy thoughts. Still a lot of unnecessary impulses tried to find their way into my head.
