Exotic Food Jewelry

This was the first project where I focused on jewelry design. These are also the very first pieces of jewelry that I made.

This project was about family, making a kind of collection.
I based it on my own family, focusing on what we love to eat, which is exotic foods.

I wanted to create an exciting picture with the help of alienation, so that questions arise and perhaps there would be more interest in other kinds of food instead of potatoes, meat, and vegetables.

This work came about because I found out that some restaurants serving Asian cuisine in the Netherlands fool us. Where many Chinese restaurants do not serve traditional Chinese food, and where Indonesian food is more similar to Indian food than how it normally would be. So I wanted to make people curious about the real food.
